comma and dot

fiberdesk now asks for comma or dot convention if ASCII data is copied to the clipboard. Even if the Windows has set the preferences different programs behave differently and one requires to have this decision available.

Persistance has been added. However, currently each view itself is normalized and chirp and colored wavlength visualization does not work correctly with it.

B-Integral and todays update

The B-Integral measurement is different to other measurements that can be directly obtained from the field because it is a integrated value of (peakpower * gamma * dz) along the propagation. Currently, this can be done in fiberdesk while using the "record measurement" option. Otherwise, nothing is added to the B value. To reset the value, use the "Zero" button in the "main" ribbon.

This functionallity has been added to version 3 and 4. You have to download the latest version from the website. It also results in an update of verion 3 to some new features of version 4 (like the new create pulse dialog, removed bugs, faster execution etc.).

Please keep in mind that the file format might have changed. However, with the current and future versions, this is tracked  and not a problem anymore .
